National dance competitions are the Super Bowl of dance competitions and the most exciting (and nerve-wracking!) events of the season. Whether you have been going for years or you’re attending your first big competition, it is a big deal. From early morning rehearsals to late-night awards, you’ll want to be as prepared as possible so that you can focus on doing what you love, performing and expressing yourself through dance. Packing for big competitions can feel overwhelming and extreme. To help you out, here’s your ultimate guide to everything you’ll need. We’re talking costumes, hair, makeup, snacks, and everything you might forget along the way.

Being prepared means you can focus on giving your all onstage instead of stressing backstage. You’ve worked hard all season—now it’s time to have fun and let your hard work speak for itself!
