The rumors are true! Fox announced this week that Season 17 of So You Think Can Dance which has been delayed for two years due to health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic is returning. This summer, a whole new cast of competing dancers will fill our screens with their best moves in all our favorite genres.

There’s no news yet as to who will be hosting or judging this season (though we’d be willing to bet that at least Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe will be back), but the show has released full details about auditions to become the next America’s Favorite Dancer.

The auditions for Season 17 will be held this month in New York, New Orleans, and Los Angeles, and eligible dancers should apply now to try to secure a spot in the in-person producer round (and maybe the rest of the competition!). As with previous seasons, dancers that make it through the first round of auditions in one of those cities will move on to a “judges round” in Los Angeles.

Are you hoping to be America’s Favorite Dancer? Applications are open for all three cities, and eligibility requirements, dates, and other rules can be found at fox.com/dance. Get your audition tapes ready!
