The Music Man is joining the growing lineup of shows returning to Broadway in late 2021 and early 2022. The revival of Meredith Wilson’s original musical was set to open in October of 2020, but shutdowns pushed the date making the opening uncertain. Now, an official preview and opening date are here! The 76 trombones are headed back to the stage!

Led by new executive producer Kate Horton, The Music Man will start performances on December 20, 2021 and officially open on February 10, 2022. Hugh Jackman will still be playing the lead, Harold Hill, and Sutton Foster will play Marian Paroo. They are joined by Jayne Houdyshell (Mrs. Shinn), Jefferson Mays (Mayor Shinn), Marie Mullen (Mrs. Paroo), Shuler Hensley (Marcellus Washburn), Emma Crow (Zaneeta Shinn), Remy Auberjonois (Charlie Cowell), and Gino Cosculluela (Tommy Djilas).

The musical is making its home at the Winter Garden Theatre. Tickets for The Music Man are on sale now.
