Filled with princess magic, Tinkerbell sparkles, and wonder, Disneyland is a place that makes you just want to dance! Let’s Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder for the Walt Disney Company’s 100th Anniversary milestone, dancers!

Disney opened its iconic California theme park in 1955. Walt Disney said he created Disneyland to be “a source of joy and inspiration to all the world.” Walking through the golden gates, Disney magic is in the air! Come along with me for a Disney day filled with rides, shops, dance, fashion, food, and fun! “To all those who come to this happy place: Welcome. Disneyland is your land,” Walt Disney said. Do you believe in magic? Get ready to dance down Main Street. Let’s go on an adventure!

Disney Fashion

Outfit of the Day!

My OOTD is inspired by some of my favorite Disney characters. This look is giving Ariel vibes and Princess Aurora style for a combo Disneybound outfit. I accessorized with pink sequined heart Minnie Mouse ears complete with Minnie’s signature bow. As Snow White says, “Remember you’re the one who can fill the world with sunshine!”

Shopping

Head to one of the stores on Disneyland’s Main Street to shop for fashionable Disney wear. Grab your own signature mouse ears, themed clothing, or a crown fit for a princess (or a ballerina)!

Inspiration

As you walk through New Orleans Square in Disneyland Park, stop by Princess Tiana’s dressmaker mother’s shop. Eudora’s Chic Boutique is the spot for shopping, styles, and beautiful fashion design sketches that sparkle. It’s practically stage-ready. Hello, costume creation inspiration!

Rides and Attractions

Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

One of Disneyland’s newest rides, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway opened this year to celebrate Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder. Goofy’s train car twists and turns through Mickey’s cartoon realm. My favorite feature of this ride is entering Daisy’s Dancing School! Dancing along with Daisy in this part of the ride, you can spot posters of her premiere classical ballet performances like Firebird, Swan Lake, Ro-mallard & Juli-egg, and The Nutquacker.

Ariel’s Undersea Adventure

This attraction in California Adventure is based on the classic animated movie The Little Mermaid from 1989. “Have you ever seen something so wonderful in your entire life?” Adventuring across the sea in a sweet seashell, you are taken on a journey through Ariel’s story. I feel like I’m in the movie, dancing with Ariel to one of my favorite Disney jams, “Under the Sea!”

Minnie’s House

The loveliest place in Toontown, Minnie Mouse’s house reflects her style icon status. Walking in side is a true Disney experience. This is the place to be for all things charmingly pink and polka-dotted. Don’t forget the bows and hearts! The cuteness factor is at 100.

Mad Tea Party

Let’s twirl in the teacups! The pastel-painted teacups are straight out of a Mad Hatter tea part in Alice in Wonderland, and the soundtrack is perfect. This Disneyland attraction is one of the sweetest in Fantasyland. Don’t the teacups remind you of performing pirouettes?

It’s a Small World

Sing and dance in this joy-filled journey of the globe by boat. Can you spot the ballerina performing a classical pas de deux under the Eiffel Tower?

“There’s a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day.”

Food

Dining

One of the ultimate parts of Disneyland is the cuisine. Disneyland and California Adventure Park have a lot of fun treats to enjoy for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks between rides! From pizza to pasta to hot dogs and salad, my go-to order is the Caesar salad by the Boardwalk. It’s hand-tossed right in front of you! Fun cuisine creations as well as many nutritious options to fuel up for more fun.

Snacks

If you’re anything like me, dancing through the day and smiling this much makes you hungry! When snack time calls, I like to visit the fruit stands scattered around the parks. Look for sweet grapes, apples, and pineapple! Another go-to food item on my snack list is the famous Mickey soft pretzel or my absolute fav a sweet cream cheese-filled Disneyland pretzel. Delicious and cute!

Treats

Looking for a sweet treat? Stop by the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor for old-fashioned ice cream and sweet sundaes. I love heading to Adventureland for Disney’s well-known pineapple Dole Whip, a delicious soft-serve treat (especially on hot days). For more desserts, it’s fun to see which new flavor of churro is out for the season. Just like a new fashion drop, Disneyland always has a new seasonal churro flavor available from fluffernutter to lemon sugar. There are churro carts all over the park. This time? The flavor of the moment was maple bacon. YUM.

Capturing Memories

Sleeping Beauty’s Castle

A photo spot I adore is Princess Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. It is one of the best places to visit for a sweet memory captured forever! Hi, Prince Phillip! It’s also the perfect place to dream of waltzing the day away. Go, Princess!

Paradise Gardens Park

The center of Disney’s California Adventure Park is an epic photo spot. With a backdrop that features Mickey Mouse, the California Adventure Ferris Wheel, and a picturesque view, strike a pose!

Shows

Whether you are catching a show at the Royal Theatre in Disneyland, or watching the “Magic Happens” parade down Main Street, there are many live performances to see and be inspired by! Maybe one of them will spark ideas for your next dance routine.
