Evie Wade is a 10-year-old dancer from Apex, North Carolina. She dances at Cary Dance Productions.

“Dance fills me with so much joy that I dance everywhere I go! I aspire to be a dancer who spreads joy and leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes!”

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Dance has been a part of me as long as I can remember! It has provided me with amazing role models that have taught me to become more confident, respectful, and helpful to others. I am so thankful for my studio family who have influenced me and helped shape me into the dancer I am and continue to become.

How do you want to use dance to be a positive influence on your community?

Dance fills me with so much joy that I dance everywhere I go! I dance in the grocery, the library, swim meets, and even outside in the rain! Although I am only in fifth grade, I hope to inspire others and share my joy with them! Throughout the pandemic, I have been teaching dance to many neighborhood friends as a way to do this! Many of them have now fallen in love with dance and have signed up to take classes at local studios. I aspire to be a dancer who spreads joy and leaves a little sparkle wherever she goes!
