MARGOT ROBBIE as Barbie in Warner Bros. Pictures’ “BARBIE,” a Warner Bros. Pictures release.

Hi October! Hi spooky season! Hi Halloween!

This year, is it any wonder we’re taking costume inspiration from fashion icon, intelligent diva, and fabulously fearless doll who has shown us we can be anything? It’s a Barbie celebration!

With the release of the blockbuster Barbie movie earlier this year, it has been a summer of Barbie as fans recreate the dozens of Barbie looks from president to mermaid. Seventeen says that the key to a successful Barbie look is being part of her world. “To authenticate your Barbie vibe, channel what you think you’d look like if you were to hop into the BCU (that’s the Barbie Cinematic Universe)…” Are you a sporty Barbie or an artsy one? Do you hit the beach or the pool? Is your job president, writer, or mail carrier?

You can be any Barbie you want! Fun, fabulous, and perfectly pin, we can’t get enough of Barbie fashion. Get your besties to dress up in their Barbie best for a group costume. Come on, Barbie! Let’s go pink party! Let’s try on danceable and spotlight-ready Barbie costumes.

Mermaid Barbie

Make a splash this Halloween with a Barbie costume look that is just fin-tastic! With mermaid-core styles trending alongside Barbiecore styles, this look is the best of both worlds. Inspired by Mermaid Barbie played by Dua Lipa, this shimmery and sensational look starts with a leotard. Follow Dua’s lead and go for blue or pick your favorite color! Add a flowy skirt to represent your mermaid tail. Then complete the look with shells or pearls and glitter. I added metallic blush, sparkly eyeshadow, and a sea crown to my French twist.

Workout Barbie

Ready for the ultimate dance party? Hello, Workout Barbie! This doll is a vintage classic queen. This dance workout doll was first released by Mattel in 1992. To recreate her retro look for the dance studio, start with a full-length bodysuit in any color you like. Our inspiration is also sporting some fun leg warmers and a pink headband. Add your dance shoes and hit the floor! If you want to add makeup, go for rouge, a Barbie classic.

Western Barbie

A pink-alicious direction for this Halloween, Western Barbie is one of the most iconic looks from Barbie. Margot Robbie’s Stereotypical Barbie dressed in cowboy boots and fringe during her Malibu adventure. For this look, wrangle all the pink clothing in your closet and add a pink cowgirl hat! I paired a Royal Couture x Showstopper leotard with a pair of pink stretch pants (perfect for dancing!). Let’s dance, Ken!
