This week on Dancing with the Stars, Disney+ Night brought an interesting cast of characters to the ballroom from Disney princesses and princes to the Simpsons. The dancers and their celebrity partners showed up to celebrate the show’s streaming home. Even Mickey and Minnie Mouse were in attendance!

Joseph and Daniella

ABC/Christopher Willard

After two weeks apart, Joseph was reunited with his original dance partner Daniella who has been quarantined for two weeks due to COVID. They reunited for a romantic Disney match-up. Dancing the Charleston to “A Star is Born” as Hercules and Megara, Joseph had to look light on his feet while helping Dani through stunts and fancy footwork. Len and Derek thought there might have been too many tricks, but with a few tips for footwork, these two had the judges excited.

Total Score: 28/40

Sam and Cheryl

Last week, Sam and Cheryl were in the bottom two. After being saved by the judges, they returned this week to dance the paso doble in honor of The Greatest Showman. “You were always in character, and for that I thank you,” Derek said of this performance. Carrie Ann was happy to see Sam challenging himself, too. There were some technical critiques for his posture and lines, but the judges seemed impressed.

Total Score: 25/40

Jordin and Brandon

ABC/Christopher Willard

The dance was new, but the song was anything but. Jordin and Brandon danced a jazz routine to Jordin’s song “Remember Me” from Disney’s Coco. The majority of this spinning dance was accompanied by the on-set band, but Jordin sang the first few lines of the song herself. Bruno said Jordin danced with her heart and complimented this couple’s movement. Len was equally impressed and called this Jordin’s best dance to date!

Total Score: 34/40

Wayne and Witney

ABC/Christopher Willard

Following with his own worlds-collide moment, Wayne took on Hamilton which he starred in as Aaron Burr. Hamilton is of course a Broadway musical, but the film recording lives on Disney+. Their jazz performance to “Wait For It” (a song Wayne has performed many times!), had the audience on their feet and tears in Wayne’s (and Carrie Ann’s) eyes. “You keep delivering week after week!” Len said.

Total Score: 36/40

Daniel and Britt

ABC/Christopher Willard

Daniel and Britt aren’t afraid to challenge themselves to get to the top, and this week they continued to do that with a High School Musical: The Musical: The Series quickstep dedicated to a deaf child, Asher, Daniel mentors. Len thought Daniel’s frame was better but thought there was too much happening overall. Derek disagreed, complimenting the moves made and the performance overall.

Total Score: 29/40

Shangela and Gleb

It’s all about the Charleston! Shangela and Gleb danced to “Dig a Little Deeper” from The Princess and the Frog originally sung by Shangela’s mentor Jennifer Lewis. These two kicked and sparkled their way across the ballroom while Jennifer Lewis provided the music live. Derek thought it took a little too long to get to the main dance, but he was impressed with the work this pair did this week.

Total Score: 32/40

Heidi and Artem

ABC/Christopher Willard

After three weeks of dancing and improving their scores, Heidi and Artem took on a new challenge. This week, they danced the Viennese waltz to “Chim Chim Cher-ee” from Mary Poppins. “You’ve never been better,” Bruno said as soon as this pair finished their waltz, complimenting them on everything from chemistry to movement.

Total Score: 34/40

Gabby and Val

ABC/Christopher Willard

Guardians of the Galaxy is Gabby’s favorite movie, so this week she and Val tried on the quickstep for a Marvelous performance. Carrie Ann told Gabby, “you have everything you need to win this competition,” and Len was excited to see them really take on the quickstep.

Total Score: 36/40

Trevor and Emma

ABC/Christopher Willard

Last week saw a drop in scores for this duo, so transporting themselves to the world of Disney’s Cars, they wanted to come back this week with a quick and technical samba. Len thought Trevor didn’t have enough bounce and Derek and Carrie Ann wanted to see more confidence.

Total Score: 28/40

Vinny and Koko

ABC/Christopher Willard

Looking for more comfort on the dance floor, Vinny and Koko went to Italy with a samba to “Il gatto e la volpe” from Luca. Derek called Vinny a sensational performer and complimented his samba, and Bruno praised him for giving the dance 100% despite some technical flaws.

Total Score: 29/40

Selma and Sasha

ABC/Christopher Willard

After a blindfolded Bond performance last week, Selma and Sasha went for The Muppets this week. A real challenge for Selma, their dance to The Muppets theme was a quickstep. Carrie Ann was impressed by the ways they matched lines and balance throughout the performance, and Len called their routine “a proper Disney dance.”

Total Score: 32/40

Jessie and Alan

ABC/Christopher Willard

Just in time for Halloween, Jessie and Alan learned the jive this week. Dancing to “One Way or Another” from Hocus Pocus 2, this duo brought some magic to the ballroom. “That was wicked Honey!” Bruno yelled. All of the judges saw a lot of improvement in Jessie’s dancing.

Total Score: 31/40

Charli and Mark

ABC/Christopher Willard

A lot of movement, a lot of hair, Charli and Mark danced to The Simpsons theme song this week. Charli appeared as herself on an episode of The Simpsons in Season 33, but this week, she took on marge and her massive blue hair while dancing jazz! Carrie Ann called this couple simply “brilliant,” and Bruno said he didn’t want it to end.

Total Score: 36/40

The Results

ABC/Christopher Willard

The live votes left Sam and Cheryl and Trevor and Emma in the bottom two, leaving the judges to decide which couple to save. Carrie Ann, Bruno, and Derek voted to save Trevor and Emma, saving the pair. Len would have voted the same, making the vote unanimous.

Next week the remaining 12 couples will dance in a two-night special event. On Monday, the dancers and stars will share memorable moments from their own lives, and on Tuesday, they’re headed to the prom. Both nights will air live at 8 PM ET on Disney+.
