A sweet season that comes each year with blooming flowers, rays of sunshine, dance, and fresh new fashion, spring is something to celebrate. Now that we are firmly in spring with summer peaking around the corner, styling dance and daily fashion with spring style essentials is easy. Cue Harry Styles’ “Sunflower”! Fashion is blooming!

Strutting through Spring

What pairs well with sunshine? This spring outfit gathers inspiration from spring blossoms. A silk dress with floral print and lace detailing is a lively combination of textures for spring. Fashion trends cycle, and styles come and go from year to year, but florals are, of course, an unshakable spring staple. While Miranda Priestly would say, “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking,” Seventeen is loving the energy the nature-inspired looks bring. They say, “…the positive vibes of a good flower print are perfect for ushering in warmer, brighter days.”

“A flower blossoms for its own joy.”

Oscar Wilde

To create the look, choose your favorite floral dress or one-piece outfit and accessorize! I added classic gold hoops (a style essential), a layered gold necklace, and white sneakers for a little “wrong shoe” contrast to the dreamy motif of the long silk dress. These are fairytale vibes.

Makeup Moments: A sweet strawberry blush, shimmer highlighter, and cherry lipstick make this look ready for dancing through a field of flowers!

Dancing Through Spring

When it comes to styling an outfit for a new season, your everyday clothes don’t have to be the only inspired looks you rock this spring. You can have fun styling dancewear, too! Starting with a pastel leotard in lavender velvet, this outfit gets its spring vibes from a a ballet skirt in flowering print.

“Wherever you go, no matter the weather, always bring your own sunshine.”

Anthony J. D’Angelo

My floral ballet skirts stay in rotation during spring. I styled my hair in a French twist with a beautiful hair clip. When putting together and outfit to wear to dance, choose fashion that inspires you. Dance shoes on, we’re leaping into spring with Tchaikovsky’s “Waltz of the Flowers.”
