Tony Pittman is a 16-year-old dancer from Saint Peters, Missouri. He dances at Performing Arts Centre.

“Dance is everything to me! … I want to be able to be a good example to all the little boys out there thinking that boys don’t dance.”

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

Dance is everything to me! I think about dancing every second of the day. When I feel sad, I dance and it makes me feel better instantly. It’s an escape of everything that’s happening around the world.

How do you want to use dance to be a positive influence on your community?

I wish I could dance everywhere without people thinking I am crazy! I want to be able to be a good example to all the little boys out there thinking that boys don’t dance. Boys do dance, and we can be good at it. I want to be able to stop the stigma.
