The latest super comedy coms to us from the DC universe, and Sparkle Society member and Andi Mack star Asher Angel is going to be doing some growing up. Literally. When Asher’s character Billy Batson meets an ancient wizard that gives him life changing power, all he has to say is “shazam” and he becomes an adult super hero with super strength, electric powers, and more incredible abilities.
The only problem?
He’s still 15.
Lucky for us, that means that Shazam is a superhero movie unlike any other. While he’s trying to figure out how to save the world, he’s also dealing with high school drama and the idea that he isn’t the one that’s in charge. Needless to say, that gets him into a little trouble.
Shazam zapped its way into theaters April 5, 2019. You’re not going to want to miss a second of it.
