Come along with me on a trés fab day in France filled with fashion, history, sweets, sparkles, and lots of magic to fill your heart with Paris inspiration!

Le Matin

Bonjour, Paris! Starting the morning off right is as easy as looking over the beautiful French horizon with a cup of rose petal tea. As the sun comes up, the volume on my speaker is also rising. The soundtrack for today starts with Louis Armstrong’s “La Vie en Rose.” This is and the first bite of an authentic croissant from a sweet local bakery are the perfect way to start off a dreamy day in the City of Light.

Flower Shop

Inspiration is just about everywhere you look in Paris. You don’t have to wander too far to find something that truly inspires you. The architecture, colors, aromas, sounds, and nature give the city sparkling touches of life. My first stop is the most charming Parisian flower shop, the perfect place to get fresh pink roses.

French flower shops like this one have been around for so long, they’re basically a staple. What would Paris be without at least one floral wonderland? Take in the magic with all of your senses. When you visit a magnificent city, finding its flowers is always a good idea.

Museum

Paris is home to some of the most famous buildings, monuments, traditions, cuisine, fashion houses, and museums around the world. Getting inspired by the deep rich history and transcending art that Paris holds is wonderful. Historic, innovative, and artistic all at once, with more than 150 museums, there is a lot to discover!

Today, I’m off to Le Musée du Louvre. The Louvre is the world’s largest and most expansive museum at over 652,000 square feet (or 60,000 square meters if you’re in France). Talk about a wow factor. But, of course, you need all that space to house over 600,000 pieces of art. (You can look at nearly 500,000 pieces in the Louvre’s collection online.) It’s no wonder that entering this museum feels like stepping into another world. I loved touring the Galerie d’Apollon, seeing the breathtaking Yves Saint Laurent Exhibition collection, and the sparkling French Crown Jewels display. Oh! Hello, Mona Lisa!

Shopping

J’aime la France. J’aime la mode. J’aime beaucoup la mode française! Paris is a fashionista’s dream. Let your styling imagination run wild and free! For all the trés beau fashion inspiration, my parish favorites include the fashion wonderland that is Galeries Lafyette, glamorous Place Vendôme in the 1st Arrondissement, strolling along the Champs-Elysees, or thrifting in Le Marais!

As you might imagine, in Paris, every street corner has something superb and special to offer. From fashion hauls and window shopping to store carts along the river and magazine stands, there is a lot to explore in the French fashion scene. You know I had to pick up a copy of French Vogue.

Pro Travel Tip: When planning your Paris itinerary, sometimes no plan is actually a good plan! I have learned throughout my travels, that every now and then, it’s a great idea to just explore and see what you come across on your journey, especially in this beautiful city. There is so much magic you can just stumble upon while you are walking along the gorgeous streets. Leave yourself a free-explore day!

Macaron Stop

French macarons are a beautiful delicacy not to be missed when you’re in Paris. Catch me at Ladurèe, the original Paris bakery first opened in 1862 by Louis Earnest Ladurée. The trés fantastique double-decker macarons here are world-famous! It’s hard to choose, bu my favorite flavors are probably pistachio, almond, and salted caramel. What are macarons if not food fashion? As Ladurée says, “Twice a year, like fashion designers, Ladurée imagines new deserts…”

With macarons in hand, it’s time for a picnic! The perfect place to picnic is my favorite park, the Jardin des Tuileries. Dancing through the gardens with macarons is a living daydream. Another lovely day in Paris!

Eiffel Tower Sparkle

Quite truly my favorite part of the city at night is watching the Eiffel Tower sparkle. There is nothing in the world like it. The 1,063-foot monument shines above Paris with an enchanting lights show ever hour on the hour from dusk until 1am. The Eiffel Tower’s reflected shimmer makes the already glowing city light up.

After riding my scooter along the Seine, I love to count down to the sparkling lights. Three, two, one, magic. This city can make you feel alive and at peace all at the same time! It’s equivalent, in my book, to wishing upon a star. I stare up at the Eiffel Tower, dreaming of future visits to Paris.

What is your favorite place in the world? Have you been to Paris?
