Maybe you first saw Gabe performing at a Bruno Mars concert, or dancing his way through a Justin Bieber video, or at the Super Bowl with Katy Perry & Missy Elliot. Or maybe you watched as he and best friend, Kaycee Rice, both took home the prize on Ellen DeGeneres’ dance challenge with tWitch and Allison. Wherever you first saw this 16-year-old freestyle prodigy, you can bet you’ll be seeing a whole lot more of him in the future. We connected with him at our Sparkle Society photoshoot in April and got the inside scoop on what makes Gabe so great.

When did you start dancing? I started at the age of 5 and took hip-hop

What’s your favorite genre of dance? Hip hop of course, because I’m all about energy and I’m a totally different person on the dance floor.

What’s your first dance memory? Walking into my first dance class and realizing I was actually born to do this

What’s your favorite dance move? I don’t really have one but my style is really full out and I love putting tumbling tricks in my routines.

What artists are you the most influenced by? Usher, Daniel “Cloud” Campos, tWitch, Erik Saradpon, Tricia Miranda, Matt Steffanina, and Chance the Rapper

How do you typically prepare for an audition? Warm-up, stretch, practice some flips

What other dancers do you look up to? My best friend Big Will Simmons and my partner in crime, Kaycee Rice

What do you want to be when you grow up? Dancer and choreographer
