Nadia Chudzik is a 13-year-old dancer from Stowe, Vermont. She dances at Stowe Dance Academy.

“I [want] to inspire young children to explore dance and the benefits [it] can have.”

How does dance have a positive impact on your life?

“Dance has had an incredibly positive impact on my life. It has taught me discipline, hard work, and perseverance. I currently dance 17 hours a week. I am in regular school also, so I have to be incredibly disciplined with my time management. I also realize that it takes hard work and perseverance to accomplish my goals. Dance has also led me to meet some of my best friends from all over the world. I even had the opportunity to visit and dance in London with one of these friends. I couldn’t imagine anything more positive in my life than dance.

How do you want to use dance to make a positive influence on your community?

“I want to use dance to have a positive impact on my community by performing locally and helping to inspire people by sharing my passion of dance through my performances. For example, we perform at a local fundraiser as well as the “Weekend of Hope,” an event for cancer survivors. I hope that by performing at events like this I can inspire more people to dance and bring some happiness into other people’s lives. I would also like to inspire young children to explore dance and the benefits dance can have. I hope that when young people see just how fun dance can be that they will be inspired to explore the arts.
