Requirements:
- Singers that are physically strong and excellent dancers
- Singers capable of pure tones and/or vibrato the feels informed by jazz/rock/gospel, not conventional “music-theatre style”/vibrato singers
- Prepare 16 bars of a non-musical theater song (folk, rock, jazz, gospel, etc). (Bring music for an accompanist as well as their book of music.)
- Bring a picture and resume, stapled together.
Roles:
- WORKER 1: Soprano. (F#3 – E5). Any age, all gender identities, any ethnicity. The workers chorus populates the world above and below ground, representing the spirit of both labor and community.
- WORKER 2: Low alto. (E3 – C#5). Any age, all gender identities, any ethnicity. The workers chorus populates the world above and below ground, representing the spirit of both labor and community.
- WORKER 3: Tenor. (B2 – B4). Any age, all gender identities, any ethnicity. The workers chorus populates the world above and below ground, representing the spirit of both labor and community.
- WORKER 4: Tenor/baritone. (G2 – G4). Any age, all gender identities, any ethnicity. The workers chorus populates the world above and below ground, representing the spirit of both labor and community.
- WORKER 5: Bass/baritone. (C2 – G4). Any age, all gender identities, any ethnicity. The workers chorus populates the world above and below ground, representing the spirit of both labor and community.
