“I want to let people know that dance can be a way to forget about all your problems…”
How does dance have a positive impact on your life?
“Dance teaches me to be a better person. It teaches me discipline and gives me life skills that I know I am going to use in the future. Not only that, but dance has given me friends and a second family. Dance has always been something I have looked forward to at the end of the day and on weekends, and one day I hope to have a career in dance.”
How do you want to use dance to make a positive influence on your community?
“I feel as though people are constantly getting frustrated or angry and have no way to express it. I want to let people know that dance can be a way to forget about all your problems and help you connect with someone without even needing to talk with them. I feel like dance can help break people out of their shell and help them gain more confidence. The world would be a better place if people were not as afraid to communicate with others.”
